Background
Action10 together with Human Rights & Science (HR&S) aim to raise funds to decrease poverty in the Kibera slum through increased employment and business activities. The Kibera slum in Kenya suffers from low employment and high poverty rate where the latter is as high as 50%. By supporting local business operations we will contribute to an increased standard of living in the area.
Project Update
Fredrick Ating'a, who is running Dolas Creation, is continuing to partner with local craftsmen and involve their products in his business. Additionally, he is always considering opportunities to be able to employ more people and in that way expand the positive impact his business has on the community.
Already the first time the Action10 President met with Fredrick she was impressed by his entrepreneurship and the clothes produced. Since then, they have discussed fashion styles that can combine Kenyan and Swedish preferences and Fredrick also shared new ideas how make the clothes even more appealing. The President of Action10 also made a request of clothes and Dolas delivered within a short time-frame and with high quality.
