Project Report
By HR&S website | HR&S updates
HR&S is honoured to partner with Mr. Fredrick ATING’A, CEO and Founder of Dolas Creation, and to offer to him expert advice, auditing and an investment loan.
Dolas creation still enjoys doing business with a few former clients despite a drop in demand. This was evident from what he stated, “Did you see what Nairobi County Women Representative wore during the launch of Building Bridges Initiatives (BBI) at Bomas Kenya? That was my work.” Also, while in the premises Mr. Fredrick received about 5 clients placing orders for various designs, with our team leader Millicent Sifuna and accounting coach Anne Chebet leading the way to promote Dolas Creation work. This gives great hope for the future.

Project Update
By Helena Cechurova | Volunteer Action10
Empower artisans in marginalized areas of Kenya
Background
Action10 together with Human Rights & Science (HR&S) aim to raise funds to decrease poverty in the Kibera slum through increased employment and business activities. The Kibera slum in Kenya suffers from low employment and high poverty rate where the latter is as high as 50%. By supporting local business operations, we will contribute to an increased standard of living in the area.
Project updates
HR&S Branch Kenya is attending and being active in the bi-monthly online meetings, where they can discuss their successes and challenges with HR&S's network, as well as to connect with Action10 volunteers, other HR&S African branches, and RISE members. During those meetings, branch members share knowledge and experiences and gain from them as well. The Management Strategy for Change ROPE (Real-time Outcome Planning & Evaluation) serves as the foundation for both sessions. For the purpose of online business marketing of Dolas Creation project, Mr. Ating'A is currently searching for technical support. In order to share information and connect all branches, branch members can now access and use the recently introduced platform during bi-monthly meetings.
Thank you!

Project update
As we are determined to ensure sustainable impact, we are empowering our HR&S Branch Kenya benefitting from our HR&S Management Strategy for Change, ROPE (Real-time Outcome Planning & Evaluation). We provide ROPE coaching and a platform for knowledge sharing in bi-monthly on-line meetings with the HR&S Country Branches members. The HR&S Branch Kenya is very active and participates in, and contributes to, every session. ROPE targets international equal partnership for development and is centered around the ambitions and the challenges of each entrepreneur and programme manager, thus Dolas Creation.
Thank you!
