Training session with sixth-generation Mayama

In this 2023, Mayama continues with the training of two active generations. The sixth generation of beneficiaries consists of 91 girls and boys and their families who are attending their final year of education in the Mayama educational model. The seventh generation of beneficiaries is composed of 148 children participating in their second year of training with Mayama.

The children of the sixth generation have had a program attendance rate of 79.09% during these months of the current year and have participated in various training activities, including managing emotions and feelings, handling tension and stress, and fostering creative and critical thinking, among others. Likewise, the caregivers of these children have had the opportunity to be evaluated in their parenting skills during the first three months of the year, and this evaluation shows several improvements in their competencies. More than 60% of the caregivers are in an optimal zone for the exercise of positive parenting and the care and upbringing of their children.

Regarding the children of the seventh generation, they have had a 79.7% attendance rate to training sessions so far this year. These children had their first baseline assessment of life skills at the beginning of 2023, which measures their personal interaction skills in areas such as problem-solving, taking initiative, conflict management, following instructions, and self-expression and self-recognition.

In conclusion, the Mayama educational model currently serves a total of 897 direct beneficiaries, including the girls, boys, and their families from the sixth and seventh Mayama generations through the comprehensive and systemic program of My Development, My Family, and My Community.
