Empower Victims of Boko Haram Violence In Nigeria

In addition to our earlier report, we are happy to announce that 15 of the project recipients that are presently in tailoring school will be graduating in January/February 2019 and will be setting up their own tailoring businesses. This means we will also be accepting more recipients into the tailoring school in February 2019. We also intend to start the cattle rearing training/business for some of the women at the begining of 2019.

We could not have reached this stage of the project without your generous donations! Again, these activities moving forward will require more funding and it will be helpful if you can help donate and spread this message to likely donors in this giving season. The on-going bonus cash prizes by GlobalGiving will also attract additional funds to this project when you donate and (or) bring others to donate.

Our joint initiative to empower 1000 rape victims and widows with integrated peacebuilding skills in the North Eastern region of Nigeria has recorded some additional progress. Apart from the on-going psycho-social support and mentorship workshops that are targeting an initial 100 recipient, the tailoring program has added another 3 recipients, increasing the number of participants in the tailoring training from 15 to 18. We could not have achieved this without your generous donations!

The 27^th of November 2018 is GivingTuesday and GlobalGiving will be giving out a total of $150, 000 in matching funds on that day. This means that every donation to this project on that day will automatically be matched proportionally.

All recurring donations starting on the 27^th of November to 31^st of December 2018 will be matched at 100 percent by GlobalGiving.

Every donation between 27^th of November and 31^st of December 2018 will be eligible for bonus cash prizes.
