CSDEA Integrated Peacebuilding Project & COVID-19

By Theophilus Ekpon | Project Coordinator

Dear all,

I hope this message meet you in good health and that you are safe always. Thank you for your continous support to this project. We could not have come this far without your generous donations.

The Psycho-social support and livelihood trainings for the victims of violent extremism in the North East of Nigeria are on-going. However, we have taken some physical distancing measures including no handshakes, wearing face masks, frequent hand washing and the use of santizers to keep project participants safe during the psycho-social support sessions, tailoring school, and cattle rearing activities. Additionally, we are also working on giving rescue funds to our graduates whose businesses are facing setbacks as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.

As you are aware, this initiative has touched the lives of 140 participants but the goal of this project is to reach 1000 girls and women in its first phase. It is in a bid to raise more funds to meet this target and to also respond to the special needs of project participants during this challenging period that we will be raising funds to commemorate the 2020 World Refugee Week that will take place from the 15th to 20th of June, 2020. You can help by donating and also volunteer to reach out to your friends and family to support this project next week. The first 500 dollars raised during these five days will be matched 100 precent by GlobalGiving and there is over 200k dollars in bonus prizes for the first 10 projects with the highest number of donations.

Thank you for your support always!
