Many thanks for your support to this project and especially throughout the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Your kind donations have ensured that we are able to sustain and expand the project.
All aspects of the project for the girls and women who were victims of the Boko Haram violence continue to make progress. The on-going components of the project include trauma healing, tailoring, cattle rearing and mentorship. We have rented part of a new cattle ranch outside of Yola and have started empowering more girls and women with cattle at the new ranch.
During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, your support went to supporting project participants with sanitary and hygiene materials, including giving loans to pay for their shop rents and buying medicines for their cattle. However, the post-pandemic era has brought a new challenge of inflation, as buying new cattle, sewing machines and other project materials and services now cost between 30 and 60 percent more. Thank you to our monthly donors and we will be happy to get more donations to help us address the impact of inflation on the project.
Thank you all for your support always!
