Amani Children's Home runs a series of alternative protein projects. From pigs to cattle, these livestock husbandry initiatives ensure we have a source of macronutrients in our children's diets and provide an additional line of income for our community center. Thanks to the support of generous donors like you, we've just renovated our chicken house! The conditions in Northern Tanzanian can be relentless- from dust storms to heavy rains, our facilities withstand the sun and the heat year after year. But our chicken husbandry buildings needed maintenance, upkeep, and a fresh stock of inhabitants for this new season. Now with a new roof, new roosting coups, and a brand new outdoor area where the chickens can roam and explore, we're ready for eggs and chicks to relaunch this project for 2023.
