Keep her in school

This report outlines some activities which will be carried out during our community outreach program, we shall have a comprehensively address menstrual health management among adolescent girls. The program is structured to provide both material support and essential education, thereby reducing stigma and promoting school attendance and personal well-being.

The core activity will involve the direct distribution of sanitary pads to ensure that girls have access to reliable menstrual products. This material provision is a critical first step in addressing period poverty, which often leads to absenteeism and academic setbacks.

Concurrently, we will institute a Menstrual Mentorship Program. This initiative will create safe, supportive forums where girls can receive practical tips on menstrual care, including hygiene practices, managing discomfort, and the proper use and disposal of sanitary products. The mentorship sessions are designed to build confidence, normalize menstrual health conversations, and foster a supportive peer network.

Recognizing the importance of a holistic support system, the outreach will actively engage two key groups. Sessions with mothers and female guardians will be held to equip them with knowledge and communication strategies, empowering them to guide their daughters effectively at home. Furthermore, we will collaborate with local health personnel to deliver accurate, age-appropriate biological education to the children, ensuring the information is medically sound and dispels common myths.

The expected outcome of this multi-faceted approach is twofold. First, it will directly improve the health and dignity of our girls through product access and knowledge. Second, by educating both the children and their primary caregivers, we aim to create a sustained, informed, and supportive environment that breaks the silence surrounding menstruation, ultimately leading to better health outcomes and improved educational consistency for our girls.

We anticipate this program to serve as a foundational model for ongoing health and empowerment programs within our community and one of our mission.

Today, we are excited to share a wonderful update from our campaign! With your generous support, we have successfully provided 12 dozen books for 12 children a significant step toward ensuring they have the tools they need to learn and thrive.

However, our mission is not yet complete. We still need 13 dozen books for 13 more children to ensure every child in our program is equipped for success.

Together with community leaders, we’ve formed Frontline, an initiative to not only provide educational materials but also to solicit food and other necessities for these children. Our goal is to ensure that when they return to school, they have everything they need to stay focused, healthy, and ready to learn.
