Kim dreams of...

By Kim/ Connie Duran | Board President

Happy as I had never been! Kim
Happy as I had never been! Kim

Dear Donor,

Hi, My name is Kim, I am from Queretaro City and I used to live on the street selling chewing gum until I was taken to Puerta Abierta´s home..

I arrived July the 15th 2021 being 10 years. Two weeks after was my birthday, they celebrated me, I had a birthday cake, it was chocolate and all the girls at home had a slice with me. Now I feel part of this family, they have opened their hearts to me and I feel secure and loved. Lucy and Susan take care of us.

As I had never gone to school it was very difficult to find one for me, I was too old to be in 1st grade. They talked with  a Montessori school that allowed me to be in their 1st to 3rd grade group and they have been very kind and patient. I am doing a lot of work and now I can read and write, my teacher tells me that my handwriting is beautiful. But what I like more is math, I am very good at it.

As I have done so much progress, I am going to be in 5th grade next year. I love my school, my teachers and my friends.

I am very exited to be telling you this, I have a loving family now and a good school so I am happy and I will do my best always at home with my chores and at school with my homework.

Today,  please donate to Puerta Abierta so we can keep up and  more girls like me can have an education and a loving family.

Today  your donation will be matched until funds are over( terms adn conditions at the bottom), so do it now! This is the link:

There is still time to make the dreams of the girls of Puerta Abierta come true, WE'RE COUNTING WITH YOU!

PD , Guess what I want to be when I grow old? No, not an architect, not an engineer and not a designer! I want to be a Math teacher  so more girls enjoy math as I do!

Bye for now,

Kim
