Dear friend,
Thank you for your gift to feed hungry school children in India. Your gift provides a starving child living in poverty with a healthy meal. You helped to feed 200 children with a school meal.
Many children in the villages come from poor families, and their parents are unable to feed them or send them to school. When they come to school, their stomachs are empty and it makes it very hard to focus in class. Sometimes the children skip school and work in the fields to earn some money instead of attending classes. This is what Satish had to do in order to eat.
But your gift helps children like Satish and gives them an opportunity to receive healthy and satisfying school lunches.
Satish is a third grader with no mother and a father who wastes the little money that he makes on alcohol. When a teacher from an India Partners’ school went to Satish’s house to ask why he was not coming to school anymore, Satish explained that his father made him work in order to collect food as his wage.
Satish felt sad that he had to stay back and work while all his friends went to school. Since they are so poor, some parents are unable to feed or educate their children.
The teacher felt sorry for Satish and told his father that Satish could receive mid-day meals at the local school every day.
Because of the lunch served at Satish’s school—provided by your gifts—his father allowed him to return. Satish was so thankful that he could go to school and study with his friends.
Thank you for your support. You are feeding children like Satish with nutritious meals every day.
Sincerely,
John Sparks
