DESERTS to GREEN FARMS.

Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) is continuing with its vision of converting desert fields of Thar into Lush Green Farms. In this regard, a number of Green Farms had already been established, developed and handed over to the poor people of Thar. The developed farms, besides providing clean drinking water to the drought-hit population of Thar are also providing vegetables, wheat & fodder for their cattle.

Moreover, CHCS has been gradually pursuing its vision of converting more desert fields into green farms with limited funds it has. In this regard, CHCS, has established 15 more new green farms during last three months which are not only providing vegetables, fodder for cattle but are also a source of income for the poor people of Thar as they have been enabled by CHCS to grow seasonal crops in their green farms.

However, CHCS has limited funds to cater to the increased demand of food in the area. It is, therefore, requested that Donors from all over the globe may donate generously so that CHCS may continue improving the socio-economoic conditions of the people of Thar by establishing and developing more green farms.

Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) is continuing with its vision of converting deserts of Thar into Lush Green Farms. In this regard, a number of Green Farms had already been established and developed so far. The developed farms, besides providing clean drinking water to the drought-hit population of Thar are also providing vegetables, wheat & fodder for their cattle.

In last three months, CHCS has established 10 more green farms which will also be developed on the same lines on which the previously established green farms have been developed. However, this project has so far not been able to attract as many donors as our other projects like "Drinking Water Wells for the people of Thar" have attracted. Since this project is of utmost importance for the people of Thar as it is not only helping in meeting the food needs of the people of Thar but also feeding their animals; therefore, CHCS is continuing the project with its own resources and disbursement amount received from GlobalGiving.

However, due to the limited funds available with CHCS, Donors all over the globe are requested to donate generously for this project as it will go a long way in improving the socio-economic conditions of the people of Thar and meet their food needs.
