5 year old Hina can see again!

By Fauzia Aziz | Manager Resource Development

5 years old, Hina got hurt while playing. Her father a factory operator immediately took her to the local clinic as her eye was turning red and she was crying in pain. Living in a rented house with two other children to support her father could not afford her treatment in a private hospital. However after a couple of weeks a white dot started to appear in her right eye. She was also constantly rubbing her eye to try and clear her vision. Her poor father was devastated that his daughter might be going blind in one eye. He asked his relatives for a loan to show Hina in a private hospital but they were unable to help him as most of them were laid off due to the pandemic. Disheartened he prayed day and night for a miracle. it broke his heart to see her sitting in a corner unable to play with her friends.

By chance he saw an ad in the newspaper about LRBT and it's free eye services for the poor. He immediately took her for a checkup and Hina was diagnosed and successfully treated for cataract. Her smile spoke a thousand words as she was leaving the hospital to go home. Hina has recently started going to school also and made alot of friends already. She especially loves being able to play with her younger brother once again.

Her father profusely thanked LRBT and its donors for their support in enabling his young daughter to be able to see once again.
