Happy New Year Everyone,
First, thank you very much to all of you, we could not provide so many girls in Vietnam with bicycles without your constant and continued support each year. In 2022, your donations directly went to buying bicycles, helmets, and bike pumps for 520 girls! So many girls and so many bicycles. Thank you everyone! Here is a quick look at two lovely girls who received bikes this year.
Meet My. She is pictured here with her mother at their home. My was so thrilled to receive a bike so that she could proudly ride it to school! She is nine years old and in the third grade. My has never had a father present in her life, and doesn’t know him, but she is being raised by her very loving mother, Lien. Lien earns a living by doing odd jobs, which often isn’t very steady, and as you can see they live in a very small, old house. My’s favorite subject in school is Math and she is dreaming about becoming a teacher one day. Thank you for giving her a bicycle, a gift that means a great deal to her and her mom.
Meet Vy. Vy is pictured here with her father who does odd jobs for a living. Vy’s mother, who is 25 years old, works as a factory worker, so Vy’s dad is her, and her five-year-old brother’s main caretaker on most days because of the long hours that her mom works. We are getting to know Vy well because she joined our new art class in her village in August. Our art teacher loves Vy and says that Vy tells her that art is her favorite subject in school. In our classes, she is so excited to take part and she has appointed herself the student monitor of the class! As you can see, she is talented and very creative. She is a very hard-working little student, and we thank you all for giving her a bicycle this year!
Thank you for supporting so many girls like My and Vy this past year, and happy 2023!

PS: Of course, if any of you ever travel to Vietnam, and are in the area that we work in, please contact us, and let us know you would like to attend a bike giving ceremony and meet the girls who you have donated to!
