Dear friends,
Greetings from Indian Dreams Foundation!
We are really happy to update you regarding our recent field visit of GlobalGiving which is done by GlobalGiving field volunteer Ms Mansi Middha on 1st June.
She has visited project sites and conducted an interactive session with SMILEY DAYS project beneficiaries. The session started with the introduction of GG volunteer and beneficiaries. Ms Mansi motivated adolescent girls to follow hygiene practices during periods and she has given a message to all participants that do not stop themselves just because of Periods, do whatever you want.
A woman named Sunita (name changed) said “This Smiley Days program has really given me confidence and power to speak out. A few years ago, I was hesitated to talk about periods with my 14 years old daughter even she was not talked to me at all. But now we both talk on the periods without hesitation. My daughter and I regularly attend the awareness workshops. I spread this message to other women in my community. I really thank the IDF team”.
Ms Mansi interacted with many girls and women during her field visit.
We at IDF really appreciate GlobalGiving for conducting such field visits by Volunteers.
Thanks to all for your generous support!
Regards,
Team IDF
