Give Books to Children in the Philippines

Thousands of books again being given away!

Working with various nonprofits, organizations, churches and individuals, we gave away nearly 6,500 books over the last two months. And there still are over 3,500 books that are going to be handed out.

Perhaps the response to and impact of this initiative is best captured by this email from one of our partners. We would like to share it with you mainly because their gratitude (and ours) should rightfully extend to all of you for your continued generosity and support, without which none of this would have happened.

Hi Gigo,

I hope you're doing well.

I am happy to inform you that we have delivered your gifts to our 274 students across six learning centers in the Philippines. Our learning centers are located in the following areas:

1. Brgy. Macabud, Montalban, Rizal;

2. Sitio Udiongan, Brgy. Mountain View, Mariveles, Bataan;

3. Brgy. Poro, San Fernando, La Union;

4. Brgy. Canaoay, San Fernando, La Union;

5. Brgy. Pio, Porac, Pampanga;

6. Marahan West, Marilog District, Davao (indigenous community)

For most of the kids, "Message in the Sand" will be a first in their personal collection.

I am hopeful that this will continue on to a lifetime habit of reading.
