Dispersing ducklings to our beneficiaries
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing goats to poor farming families here. This reporting period, we have difficulty in procuring goats and so we decided to increase our herd and then later on distribute the kids to interested farming families. While there is a gap in our support, we decided to augment the project by providing our beneficiaries with ducklings that they will raise for meat and for eggs. Ducks are hardy and are easy to raise, they just forage for food around the backyard and they can be fed too with waste coming from the kitchen. We got supply of day-old ducks which we brroded for 1 month and then when they are strong enough, we release them to already identified beneficiaries. We were able to release 2,300 ducks to 210 beneficiaries using this approach.
Hoping for your continuing support to this project.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora

goats for breeding
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project promoting goats as livelihoods for poor farming families here. This season we experienced a shortage of goats for dispersal and our strategy is to purchase upgraded goats that we can raise in a breeder farm and then when they produce young goats to disperse the young goats to verified beneficiaries. In this way we will be able to continue and sustain the system of dispersal as the new beneficiaries need to disperse 2 young goats to new beneficiaries. With this scheme we are able to purchase 10 upgraded goats from a supplier located in another town. In 7 months when the goats produces offsprings, we will be able to provide other beneficiaries with fresh supply of goats. Aside from goat raising, we provided also 120 of our beneficiaries with vegetable seeds comprising ladys fingers, tomato, eggplant, squash and cucumber as supplement for their income and food.
Again thank you very much for your generosity.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora

Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project providing goats for poor farming families here. The project is indeed providing much benefit to small farmers as the goats they raise become their insurance of sorts every time they need immediate cash. Aside from the provision of goats, we also train them how to raise and grow highly nutritious grasses and legumes that the goats eat. Goats are ruminants and digesting the grasses is no problem for them. This reporting period, aside from distributing goats we decided to complement the project by the distribution of piglets as additional animal. Piglets can be fed using surplus local farm products like root crops and bananas so no additional expense for the farmer except his labor. We were able to distribute a total of 11 piglets to 11 families as initial support.
Again thank you very much for your generous support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
