Thanks to your generosity, along with some help from our AirBnB grant, we pulled together the funds for the first Solar installation in our area. This will provide electricity to the Children's Homes, Barb's Place Community Education Center, and project offices. We were required to upgrade our electrical system and that took us over the budget. The contractor is letting us pay the balance over the next five months.
So far, the electrical upgrades to the main switch boxes are completed and the 27 solar panels are installed on the roofs of the main office and education buildings. We are waiting for one more piece of equipment to arrive and the final approval from the power authority (PEA).
We are looking forward to the uninterrupted power and cost savings.
