In many poor countries, there is no healthcare in the prison system. Some countries do not even provide food. A family member or friend has to bring them what they need.
We have been working with a prison here since last August. They have allowed me to bring in medical supplies and needed medicine to take care of the inmates.
One of the great things about this prison is there is a medical doctor that is a inmate. He is caring and kind and willing to help the people he is with in prison. They are also allowing me to leave supplies with him as visiting hours are limited for myself. It is a great working system and cooperation was very unexpected as it is a military facility.
