Help 10 Girls Gain More Skill Trough Training

May this email finds you well.

When the academic year for the students in Elementary-Senior High School ended in June, the sponsored students who study under the one-year Vocational Training are under job training in the industry of their choice. Some of the girls are having their training in the kitchen, as they study food production, while other students are getting trained in the administration field.

Two out of three girls in the program who take food production as their major in Monarch Bali got their training in the hot kitchen, while another student got her training in the pastry kitchen. All the students enjoyed their training as they learned so many new things to upgrade their skills. For less than two months, they are trusted to make the order from the clients with minimal supervision from their seniors. All of them finished their training at the end of June, and passed their final exam. They will have their graduation ceremony in October. While waiting for the graduation ceremony, they are now working as daily workers at the hotel they trained. All of them are happy with the outcome of their training.

Other students are starting their training in the industry of their choice. One girl who studied hospital administration is now getting her training in a private hospital near her hometown. Three other students who learn business administration get their training in a bank, clinic, and retail company. They will get their training for the next four months.

We are happy with the progress of our students in our Vocational program. We wish all the best for the students who already started working while waiting for their graduation. For those who are under training, we hope they could learn as much as possible in their training place.

Selection for Vocational Scholarship Program 2022

Dear Donors and friends,

May this email finds you well.

As we inform you in our last news, YKIP started the selection process for the new students in Vocational Scholarship Program right after we finished the Youth Carrer Planning Workshop in December. We informed the students that they should apply at least on January 30, 2022. Until the deadline, there are 12 applications that we received, and surprisingly, eleven of them are from female students.

Since then, our field officer started to visit each of the students to do the preliminary survey. This survey is to see the economic condition of the student's parents and to see if they are eligible for the scholarship. After the survey finished, we will announce the students who get the scholarship by the end of this month.

Under the program, there are some students who started their studies in 2021. The four girls who are in the program are now on the job training. Three girls are trained in a five-star hotel in the culinary division, one student in a spa, and the other four are preparing for the training next month.

Even though they are busy with their studies, they always take the opportunity to be volunteers in YKIP events, such as in the school supplies distribution in our KEMBALI Scholarship Program. We are happy that they always remember to give back to the younger students, in a form of volunteering their time. YKIP wish them the best for their study and could not wait to see them finish their study this year.

YKIP also would like to thank all donors who support this vocational program. The contribution to this program enables the girls to continue their studies and go a step closer to reaching their dream.

Vocational Students Graduated in 2021

Vocational graduates December 2021

Dear Friends,

May this report find you well.

We would like to thank you for your continuous support to our Vocational Scholarship Program. 2021 is a very uncertain year, but we are grateful for your great support so that we could continue our program helping the high school graduates especially girls to continue their training in one year to get the skill of their choice. Because of the support of our donors like you, this year there are six girls who graduated from this program this year.

There are five girls who get training in the hospitality industry. The first graduate was Hita, who got her training in the F&B Service. Hita graduated with satisfactory marks from her campus on September 30, 2021. The next girl who graduated after getting one year of training in Business Administration and Management is Suputri. She graduated With Honour from her campus on October 7.

The most recent graduates are Mirna, Astiti, Diah, and Kumara. They graduated from hospitality school in Gianyar. All of them graduated with satisfactory marks. The four girls graduated on December 7, 2021. We thank you for the support of the donors of this program.

With the graduation of the students under the Vocational Scholarship Program, we wish the girls would be able to get a decent job and a better income to support their families. With the graduation of the girl, there are 5 girls who started their study this year.

The selection process for the 2021-2022 School year

The next academic year will start in June 2022. YKIP will open other positions for the vocational scholarship next year. YKIP held a workshop to help the students to prepare for their plans for the future. We also announce the openings for the scholarship. We hope there will be more girls applying for this Vocational Scholarship program.

We hope that this program will be able to accommodate more girls to get training for their brighter future. For sure that YKIP would not be able to do this alone. The support from a donor like you will enable us to continue this program. Your support is highly appreciated.
