Dear YKIP Donors,

May this report find you well.

We are happy to inform you about the Vocational program report. As we informed you in our last report, in 2023 we have nine active students under this Vocational Scholarship program, and eight of them are girls. Starting last month, the students who are studying tourism started their job training for six months.

As the tourism industry is getting better after more than two years, more hotels operating, which means there are more opportunities for students to get job training. All four girls are now getting their training in a five-star hotel. As the students live in Gianyar Regency, they chose to get their training close to their house. Three of the students get their training in a resort in Payangan, while another girl is trained in a kitchen of a hotel in Lodtunduh, Ubud.

New students intake in 2023

Last year, at the Youth Planning Career Workshop, we announced that the application for Vocational Scholarship Program opened. Just days after the announcement, we started to receive messages from the students who wanted to apply. Until the last day of January, we received 15 applications for the Vocational Scholarship Program.

After the verification process, now our field officer is conducting the survey of the students. YKIP staff visited the students' houses and meet the parents. The survey is conducted to verify the economic condition of the student. The result of this survey will determine if they are eligible for the scholarship.

After conducting the surveys, YKIP will evaluate the survey's results. We will announce the awardee by the end of this month. We wish that we can support more students, especially girls, to get the skill for a brighter future.

Thank you for your support for our program, so that we could continue this program in 2023. With your support, we believe that we could give more opportunities to the girls in Bali to pursue their dreams.

Three vocational students from karangasem

Dear YKIP Donors and Supporters,

It has been a while since our last report. Today, we would like to inform you about how our vocational scholarship program progressing,

Because of the generosity of our donors like you, YKIP is sponsoring nine students in the vocational scholarship program, and eight of them are girls in the new academic year 2022-2023. Four of them get their one-year training in tourism, while another four study administration.

Komang and Desi are two students who studying food production. Srinu choose to study front office, and another student, Murdi, choose food and beverage service as a subject that she would have a deeper understanding of. All of them studied in vocational high school majoring at tourism prior to their training under the Vocational Scholarship Program run by YKIP.

Tia and Puspita are two students who study Accounting and Taxation in, they come from Karangasem Regency in East Bali. Another student who comes from Karangasem, Sintya, gets training in Business Administration. The three students go to the same campus in Karangasem. Puspa studies Business Administration in Denpasar.

Students from the Previous Academic Year

The students who started their studies in 2021 have finished their studies and passed their final exam in September. They will graduate this month and get their diploma. All students who got their training in tourism already recruited by the hotel where they got their training as daily workers.

We are happy to see the students already used their skills to have a job and get income to support their families. all this happens because of the generosity of our donors.
