Help 65 Teenage Mothers Return to School in Kano

Thank you to the kind supporter who has already given toward the “Help 65 Teenage Mothers Return to School in Kano” project. Your donation shows care for young girls who want to go back to school and build better lives for themselves and their children. While we are grateful for this support, the funds received so far are not enough to begin the project. More support is needed so the work can start in stages.

In Kano, many teenage mothers are forced out of school after childbirth. Shame, lack of childcare, and pressure from family members keep them away from classrooms. Some face harsh treatment and judgment from teachers and students when they try to return. Without education, most of these girls struggle to find work and remain in poverty. Many want to continue schooling but cannot afford fees, uniforms, books, or safe care for their babies during school hours. This leaves them with little hope of changing their future or giving their children a better life.

This project is designed to help 65 teenage mothers go back to school. Support will include school fees, uniforms, books, and basic childcare. Safe childcare spaces will be arranged close to schools so the girls can attend classes with peace of mind. They will also receive guidance from mentors and female teachers who understand their situation, along with life-skills sessions to help them manage both school and parenting.

To begin this work, more funds are needed. Every gift matters. Your support can help open school doors again for these young mothers and give them a real chance to learn, grow, and care for their children with dignity.
