Winter will soon be officially over in Sweden and Djurens Rätt has already started planning the summer tour.
Keep reading to find out what’s new!
Volunteer kickoff in May
During the past two years we’ve organized digital kickoffs due to the pandemic. This year we continue prioritizing the online alternative to give volunteers from all around Sweden the opportunity to participate with no need to travel.
The event is planned for May 7 and our objective is to give volunteers the information, tips and tools they need to participate in this summer’s activities. We are going to spend the day together attending talks and workshops.
Same focus, updated approach
As you might remember from previous reports, Djurens Rätt focuses on creating as much impact as possible for as many animals as possible. That’s why we’ve been working on raising awareness about the chicken industry during the last editions of our summer tour.
Recently, we launched a campaign where the chickens themselves explain how their lives look like and how it is to be a chicken in Sweden. With strong support from donors and members we produced an animated film that you can see with English subtitles here. Feel free to write a comment and leave us feedback, we will be happy to read your thoughts.
This summer we keep putting the emphasis on this industry and to inspire people to make animal friendly choices. This film, together with other activities and campaign material will be used during the tour.
New colleague in the team
I would like to introduce you to my new colleague Ida Arnesson who just started working with us and will be responsible for this project. Ida will be updating you about Djurens Rätt’s summer tour and how we work for the animals in Sweden.
Thank you for following and supporting this project.
Feel free to donate to help us continue make a change for the chickens!
