Dear Project supporters,
In the previous report, we shared a video from Alice. Here's an update on her situation:
Alice continues to receive her chemotherapy treatment even though her health condition has deteriorated - due to the deplorable health condition in Sierra Leone and the lack of funding towards treatment options.
She is however optimistic about beating Breast Cancer. She is suffering from poor appetite, nausea, and hair loss due to her chemotherapy. Although she is emotionally and physically challenged, Alice has this to say-
“Cancer is cruel! I remain grateful to GlobalGiving for their support during this very difficult time for me and my family I will never give in to Cancer.”
We continue to hope for and wish her the very best - healing and a full recovery.
Our partner organization, The Thinking Pink Breast Care Foundation, will be holding a Cancer Survivors’ Conference on October 8th - 9th in Freetown, Sierra Leone, with the theme “Imagine a World Without Cancer”. Through this conference, we will continue to highlight this important health area.
Going forward, we have decided to deactivate this project. The activities proceeding from this project listing have been limited due to funding. We recommend that you join us in supporting another project that focuses on Pregnant Girls. Be sure to go to this project and sign up for updates.

Best wishes
The Develop Africa Team
