Thank you for your support

Dear friend,

A huge thank you for your donations and support that are helping to make life better for the children and youth M’Lop Tapang is working with.

Your contributions are helping young people like 18-year-old Veasna, who recently graduated from our vocational training program where he studied cooking/hospitality.

Veasna, like most of the students in our vocational training programs, grew up in poverty.  He had to drop out of school in Grade 9 to help earn an income for his family. With little education and no formal skills, his future was limited.  When he learned about M’Lop Tapang training programs a couple of years ago he was eager to join.

After completing his training, our employment services team helped him to find a safe, secure job at a local cafe.

“I was so nervous in my interview but very excited when I learned I had got the job. I love my new job so much and the staff I work with. It was a bit difficult for me during the first week of work because I have to get up at 4 am to get ready and then ride my bicycle to work at 5:45 am, but I always smile and am excited to go. I will get my very first salary soon, at the end of the month, and I plan to keep 50% for myself and 50% to help my parents back home.”

From all of us here at M’Lop Tapang, thank you for your gifts that are making life better for Cambodia children like Veasna and so many others.

With gratitude,

Roth Chanphalkun (Kun)
