Overall Goal

SHARE NGO to support the ongoing development efforts in Mbale District Local Government, addressing the challenges in education, health and it's community, vulnerability of the locals and help build capacity of the local government departments, and support reaserch.

Background

SHARE NGO National Programs involves,

1. Fighting Poverty & Improving the quality of life.

2. Providing Quality education to ovcs & scholastics

3. Skill development for selfreliance, 

4. Rehabilitation and counseling services to war affected communities, street children.

Stakeholders Meeting, SHARE NGO Directors.

In Mbale City alone, as many as 1000 children between the ages of 6- 16 years wander on the streets without the care, parental guidance, shelter, health and education support.

The street children are accused of among other things, rape, burglary, open defecation in different parts of the city.

Bonnie, a resident of namatala ward in mbale City, industrial division, says the street children target girl's, women on major streets like Bishop wasike, naboa and republic streets during rush hours and nigh night, snatch their bag's and phone's.

He adds the number of street children increase each day, and the situation worsened during lockdowns, COVID-19 two year period. Presented, kids begging on the streets, for food and sleeping in dark alley's.

Mbale residents and visitors are grappling with increased levels of violence and criminality at the hands of street children. They have nothing, no hope, no family, and life for a street child in mbale can be a nightmare.

Conclusion. 

Every child deserves to decent living, this includes Street Children, hence they need good care, education, and and shelters.

SHARE NGO Objective should be to help Strengthen Inlclusive National Social Protection Systems in line with international standards, (Comprehensive, Transparent, Equitable) thus ensuring rights of all vulnerable are met and decent life for all is promoted.

4. Developm of standardized wareness raising tools

5. Information sharing with all stakeholders

6. Coordinating capacity building initiative's, advocacy activities

Health Department

1. Enhance capacity of health staff to conduct safe referrals

2. Ensure all referrals pathways are up-to-date and WhatsApp dissemination, disaster victim's

3. Ensure non specialized actor's are equipped with skills to safely, rescue and refer servitors

4. Providing advocacy points, key messages in alignment with resilient lens and SGDs

5. Participate and coordinate national task force, emergency.

Education

1. Peer to peer cross learning

2. Improve adolescent girl programming, street, slums. Girl child.

3. Identifying concerns and contributing key information, messages to government, international partners, stakeholders.

4. Support disabled child education needs, strategy, advocacy priorities.

5. Participation on child marriages issues, map opportunities for girl child education.
