Building Stronger Futures for Young Mothers and Their Children

By Ivan Seguya | Project leader

Behind every young mother is a child whose future is also being shaped by the opportunities available to her.

When a teenage mother is abandoned and lacks income, education, or practical skills, providing for her child can become extremely difficult. That is why Restored Hope for Teenage Mothers focuses on empowering the mother while keeping the wellbeing of her child at the center.

F SSIBU Mission Foundation provides vulnerable teenage mothers with opportunities to develop practical skills in tailoring, hairdressing, electrical work, craft production, poultry, modern farming, and other livelihood areas.

These skills can help young mothers explore ways to become more self-reliant and contribute to the needs of their households.

However, our support does not stop at vocational training. Through mentorship, counselling, reproductive health education, psychosocial support, and family engagement, we help create a more comprehensive support system around young mothers and their children.

For donors, this means an investment can reach beyond one beneficiary.

Supporting a young mother can contribute to her ability to develop skills, pursue opportunities, care for her child, and build greater confidence. It can also help reduce some of the pressures that keep vulnerable families trapped in cycles of dependency.

We believe every young mother deserves the opportunity to rebuild her life with dignity.

We also believe every child deserves a mother who has access to support, knowledge, skills, and opportunity.

Through Restored Hope, donors are helping us create that possibility.

Equip the mother. Strengthen the family. Protect the child’s future.

With continued partnership, we can reach more abandoned and vulnerable teenage mothers and help them move toward safer, more sustainable futures.
