Our Children

Marcos is a 4-year-old boy who has various medical needs. Currently his greatest challenge and demands are aimed at overcoming the gap in his development in relation to his chronological age, his performance corresponds to a 36-month-old child, with greater commitment in the area of expressive language where his developmental age corresponds to 30 months. Due to the above, the child has received 20 occupational therapy sessions and 20 speech therapy sessions to date and is awaiting new orders to continue with his comprehensive therapy process. It should be noted that at the health level and by the EPS, the child has received referrals and care to evaluate not only his challenges at the level of comprehensive development, but also other parallel diagnoses, currently having a dx of expressive language disorder, hyperopia, cryptorchidism with surgical correction, risk of hypoalbunemia and positive proteinuria.

Care is everyones responsability

During the first semester of the year 2021, in light of the prevention model of "I take care of myself to take care of others", focus groups were held with the protection assistants month after month in person and virtually, with the objective of strengthening their care skills under the relational intervention model based on trust TBRI (Relational Intervention Based on Trust), and thus promote safe and loving environments for all children through connection, conscious and healthy relationships.

For these focus groups it was the interdisciplinary team who guided month after month, the topics to be developed giving as a starting point the self-knowledge and awareness of attachment styles, life history and conceptions of the caregiver's role, in order to recognize themselves from their state and emotional availability for healing interactions with users.

Finally, with the processes carried out, the articulation of the institutional processes was strengthened, where the importance of continuing with the process of implementing the model can be seen.

Durante el primer semestre del año 2021 a la luz del modelo de prevención de me cuido para cuidar se realizaron grupos focales con las auxiliares de protección mes a mes de manera presencial y virtual, con el objetivo de fortalecer sus habilidades de cuidado bajo el modelo de intervención relacional basada en la confianza TBRI (Intervención Relacional Basada en la Confianza), y asi promover ambientes seguros y amorosos para todos los niños y niñas a través de la conexión, relaciones conscientes y sanas.

Para estos grupos focales fue el equipo interdisciplinario quien oriento mes tras mes, las temáticas a desarrollar dando como punto de partida el autoconocimiento y consciencia de los estilos de apego, historia de vida y concepciones del rol del cuidador, para desde allí reconocerse desde su estado y disponibilidad emocional para interacciones sanadoras con los usuarios.

Finalmente, con los procesos adelantados se fortaleció la articulación de los procesos institucionales en donde se ve la importancia de continuar con el proceso de implementación del modelo.
