2024 marks the end of our anniversary year. The Hacker School is now 10 years old and a year with real highlights and major challenges lies behind us. We were able to provide course places for almost 27,000 children in 2024. In line with our strategy, the focus of our work was on cooperation with schools and school classes. In addition, we were also able to reach a large number of young people last year with new formats such as hands-on offers at gaming and coding fairs and courses in youth welfare facilities. Our courses there provide insights into the target group and their needs and help to break down inhibitions and teach initial digital skills.
Particular highlights in 2024 included Elke Büdenbender, Germany's First Lady, taking over the patronage of the Hacker School, the Hacker School book and participation in the TALAINTED research project. In this AI pilot project, AI avatars teach pupils their first steps in programming in different languages and at their own pace.
Outlook 2025: We are continuing to work towards our goal of empowering our young people and giving them access to the skills of the future through digital education. The Hacker School alone cannot achieve this. We can only be successful as a strong community and time is running out. So let's not just talk - let's do it together! Will You help us achieve that?
