Marc Granen (http://marcgranen.net/) specializes in the
concept of Phyto-Kinetics, the way of creating moving
gardens! How would gardens move, you might ask. He
shared his knowledge of doing this with the Coimbatore
Isha Vidhya students recently!
In Isha Vidhya's "Profession with Passion" series talks,
Marc presented the details of his work. It was titled
"A glimpse into the life of an artistic and innovative
Gardener". He was accompanied by Shanmugasundaram
and Supriya of Milltex Engineers Ltd., who had introduced
Marc to Isha Vidhya.
Marc shares in his own words about his experience of
his visit to the Isha Vidhya school :
"Last Thursday I felt really such a lucky man. With Milltex
Engineers Private. Ltd., we visited the Isha Vidhya school,
not far from Coimbatore. I went there to share my
Phyto-Kinetic project's thoughts and so all my experience
on #greenwalls projects around the world. But for sure I
received much more than I gave. Since the first moment
I got absolutely engaged to the intense good vibrations
coming from every single person there; from the kind
director, to the youngest student, all of them had that inner
harmony we the rest of mortals try to reach somewhere.
In this #school, tradition, #yoga, #education and technologies
live together in absolute harmony, bringing to children the
right wisdom and knowledge to effort the future. I strongly
wished to have the future chance, one day, to work and learn
with one (or some) of them! This project is making a
tremendous work there. I just wish one day we can share a
common green project; that would be the best present!
Thank you so much, Peggy Wolf and all the staff, students
and personnel, for that wonderful morning. Again, thank you
so much, Manikandan, Supriya and Mothilal, for trusting me
and gave me the opportunity to learn and share!"
Inspired and motivated by Marc's presentation and sharing,
the Coimbatore Isha Vidhya students are thinking of creating
green walls on their school buses! Wouldn't that be awesome?
And that's how dear patrons, the gardens will move!
Share your thoughts, and do write to us at
global.giving@ishavidhya.org to further connect to us to
present about your profession at one of the eight Isha Vidhya
schools in Tamilnadu.
Let's build an awesome generation of children who can
contribute to build beautiful world !
