Dear Donors,
Thank you for supporting the Jobs Placements for 1,500 Unemployed Female Nurses project. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and belief in the importance of strengthening healthcare services while creating opportunities for qualified nurses seeking employment.
Across Nigeria, many trained female nurses complete their education and professional requirements but struggle to find employment opportunities. At the same time, numerous rural and underserved health facilities operate with insufficient staff, placing additional pressure on the few healthcare workers available and limiting access to care for patients.
We are grateful for the donations received so far. However, the funds currently available are not sufficient to begin implementation of the project. Additional support is needed before beneficiary enrollment, facility engagement, placement coordination, orientation activities, and relocation support can commence.
This project seeks to bridge the gap between unemployed nurses and health facilities experiencing workforce shortages. Through planned partnerships with clinics and primary healthcare centres, qualified female nurses will be matched with facilities where their skills are needed most. The project also aims to support their transition into employment through orientation and basic placement assistance.
The shortage of healthcare workers in underserved communities affects access to maternal care, child health services, disease management, and other essential healthcare needs. Connecting available nurses with these facilities has the potential to improve service delivery while creating meaningful employment opportunities.
We remain committed to launching this initiative and continue working toward the resources needed to begin the first phase. As progress is made, we look forward to sharing updates on participating facilities, beneficiary selection, and placement outcomes.
Thank you for helping create opportunities for female nurses while improving healthcare access in communities that need it most.
Warm regards,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
