Keep Them in School

After the earthquake disaster occurred in the eastern side of Turkey, TEV focused on the work of the first response to the disaster. The Foundation coordinated with the Disaster Platform Association of Turkey for search & rescue volunteering. It kept WhatsApp and SMS hotline and phone calls to grantees available. First, the Foundation aimed to give additional support to young people who are already grantees of TEV. As a result, additional financial support was provided to its current grantees studying in the earthquake-affected region. In addition, 1.200 students - who have lost a parent or parents and/or a sibling, were provided scholarships.

The Foundation now aims to keep those students in school by giving them financial aid regularly. The funds raised for the Keep Them in Scholarship Fund are vital to do this. Turkish Education Foundation has already made the announcement for the 2024-2025 scholarship applications on September 2024 and will conclude the evaluation process by the end of December 2024.

Among all students who will be entitled to a scholarship, those affected by the earthquake will be considerable. In line with the efforts to keep students affected by the earthquake, the Foundation seeks individual and organization donors who would like to contribute to the Keep Them in School Scholarship Fund. Through the support of donors, TEV aims to support thousands of students the following education year.

Thanks to your valuable support, we will continue to support students affected by the earthquake until the end of their education so that they will not drop out of school.
