Hello Splash Friends,
We hope this finds everyone doing well!
As we shared last year, our efforts in India have changed. Due to multiple factors, our focus is more on sustainability and carrying forward the work we started rather than starting new projects.
You can learn more about all of our work, including what our work in India looks like, from our most up-to-date Annual Report. This report reviews our work in 2021, which was full of many challenges and many wins. It is great to be able to share this with you.

Follow up in India

Dear supporters and friends of Splash:
During our last update, we were able to share about Splash's transitioning out of India. We are still maintaining schools and sites we have been active at and have spent a large portion of this year focused on re-engaging with behavior change activites that were delayed in 2020 due to the pandemic. You can see some progress numbers below:
- Deployment has been completed in 92% of sites in Group II and III schools. The behavior change activities have been completed in all of these sites. In addition to this menstrual health programs have been also conducted in various schools.
- Operational & maintenence trainings have been completed in 94% of the Project WISE sites.
- Post-implementation trainings have been completed in 86% of the sites in Group II and III.
Although our Splash India office is no longer an active office, our team continues to make great progress in living out our original goals of Project WISE (WASH in Schools for Everyone) in Kolkta, India.

Update on Splash in India

Dear Friends,
It has been awhile since we have been able to update you on our work in India.
A major focus of ours has always been sustinability. Primarily, when we say "sustainability" we are focused on how our implementation work (clean water stations and handwashing stations) can stay functionable longterm. We do this by ensuring that there are staff on the ground at schools who are prepared to handle small maintenance issues that occur when products are used frequently and regularly.
As of mid this year, the deployment phase of our implentation work has closed and we continue to focus on sustainabilty. Funds are now being focused on sustaining the infrastructure Splash is responsible for and has installed and supporting continued operations and maintenance work.
