Support Learning centres for slum Children- India

Greetings and good wishes to you from BASS After School Learning Centres, Guntur, India!

I am happy to share with you the update of the project for the after-school learning centres in Guntur. Thank you for your concern and generous donations to the project.

I am glad to inform you that the project has been registered and live on GlobalGiving for one year, but unfortunately it has not received much support. This project operates three after school learning (tuition) centres in three slums in Guntur with expert qualified teachers. T

These centres are operating during the evenings after children come from the school at 5.30 to 8.00 P.M. for about two to three hours. Children are improving their knowledge and skills in all subjects and completing their homework. After school evening learning centres provide the children with the best of education, catch-up basic education, as well as social skills and self-esteem. The teachers are also from the local area and they interact well with children and motivate and teach them all subjects for the improvement of their performance in their class studies and also help them learn good behaviours and life skills.

We are already in the middle of the academic year 2023 and about 150 children are benefiting from this project. They have improved very much in their classroom subjects as well as life skills.

This project needs your help to pay centre rents, education material, staff remunerations and nutrition snacks. I request you to kindly help this project to provide education material, school bags and salaries to the centre teachers and evening nutrition snacks/meals to the children.

One centre needs at least $ 350 per month. Please join us to help children in need.

This project has only received $80 in donations so far.

Please support and help children in need to prevent child labour, reduce dropout and increase school attendance.
