After the great results of last year, the project has not stopped, but another group of 24 children and teenagers between 6 and 14 years, who have suffered violence, have started group psychological therapy and are receiving first health, social and legal assistance. As foreseen by the program, some meetings were also held with the parents of the abused children: this involvement is fundamental for recovery and to prevent the violence from happening again. The support offered also makes it possible to improve the family bond in general and the life context not only of the young victims, but also of their brothers or sisters.
To facilitate the recovery process, the group witnessed the screening of a film aimed at overcoming the trauma suffered.
If the psycho-socio-health improvement of the children taken care of is the primary result, the ultimate goal is however to counter the phenomenon of violence against minors and reduce, year after year, the number of abused children. Precisely for this reason, also this year special attention will be paid to prevention and awareness-raising activities, with seminars, events and training sessions on the dramatic theme.
Confident of being able to improve our help in favor of this important project, we thank you for the contribution you give us every day and for the precious support received during the Little by Little campaign: in a few days we managed to raise almost $ 700!
Waiting to receive news from Flavio and Luciana, our Aleimar managers who will be leaving for Manaus next week, thank you very much from our little butterflies!
