Homeless women face numerous challenges when trying to enter the labour market. One significant barrier is the burden of care duties, such as childcare, which often falls on women. These duties can be particularly challenging for women who lack a stable home and support system. Especially, when they need to attend job interviews, complete training programs, or maintain a regular schedule. Moreover, the cost of childcare and other related expenses is a significant financial burden for them, making it impossible to afford.
Last week a new cycle of our Employment Training Center began, and several of the women attending require that support so that they can take an active part in the workshops and training sessions, without having to worry about the care of their children or having to be absent because they have no one to leave them with. At Multipolar, we want to establish a care system for them, with qualified professionals in the field, but we can't do it alone.
At this point, your support can be crucial in addressing these barriers. Your donations can be used to provide financial assistance for childcare and other care-related expenses, allowing homeless women to focus on their training, job search and work-related activities. For instance, monetary donations can be used to establish a fund that provides temporary financial assistance to homeless women for childcare, for transportation costs to attend job interviews or training programs, or can allow us to hire those professionals we need, for the in-house childcare setting.
Bear in mind that any form of support you provide makes a significant impact. You can contribute funds to our project(s), share our work with your relatives and acquaintances, or spread the word through your social media. As more individuals become aware of it, we can obtain more support and create opportunities accessible to everyone.
