First Quarter of 2025 - Earthquake Relief Aid

By Zeynep Nazli Tibukoglu | International Relations Junior Officer

Our objective remains to raise $200,000 to assist individuals affected by the earthquake, with a special focus on supporting those with leukemia and cancer within our foundation’s network. To date, we have raised $11,372, leaving a balance of $188,628 still needed. Despite the generosity of 63 donors, no additional contributions have been received since our last report.

Ongoing Challenges
The aftermath of the earthquakes continues to present significant hardships, further exacerbated by extreme weather conditions. Many survivors, including cancer patients, remain without adequate clothing, shelter, or access to basic necessities. The urgent need for clean drinking water, warm clothing, blankets, food, temporary shelter, and medical supplies persists.

Our Continued Response and the Impact of Your Contribution
LÖSEV remains steadfast in its commitment to providing aid to those affected. Through our "Iyilikler Tr" (Truck of Goodness) initiative, we continue to transport essential supplies to the disaster zone. Our teams are actively distributing food, clothing, and emergency relief packages to address the urgent needs of earthquake survivors.

Cancer patients and their families, already facing immense challenges, require immediate and sustained support. Your donations are crucial in enabling us to provide:

  • Ongoing treatment costs for cancer patients

  • Temporary housing for displaced families

  • Food and water distribution

  • Winter clothing and essential supplies

  • Other critical needs

Our foundation supports over 110,000 individuals living with leukemia and cancer, including over 5,000 patients residing in the affected regions. Many of these patients have lost their homes and are in dire need of assistance.

To reach our fundraising goal of $200,000 and provide necessary relief to those in need, we urge continued generosity from our supporters. The remaining $188,628 is essential for sustaining our efforts. Every contribution, regardless of size, makes a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling in the aftermath of this disaster. Your kindness and support are vital in bringing hope and relief to those who need it most.
