Emergency Food Distribution in Madagascar
The extreme food shortages and economic impacts of COVID-19, combined with the severe climate-induced drought in southern Madagascar, have rendered over 1.14 million people acutely food insecure. Women and children face heightened vulnerability to hunger, contributing to life-threatening surges in the incidence of malnutrition. Since February 2021, SEED's Emergency Food Distribution Programme has been working to improve the immediate health and long-term resilience of food insecure communities.

Madagascar faces the phenomenon of undernutrition known locally as "Kere". According to media and United Nations sources, for the month of November 2022 to March 2023, 2,023,000 people are in the grip of famine, of which 1.97 million in crisis phase, 250,000 people are classified in a situation of alert and 72% of Madagascar South people on advanced famine. The project contribute to strengthening the resilience of vulnerable 2.600 persons hit by famine in the regions of the South and South Est
Feeding 1000 children in the South of Madagascar
This project will feed 1000 kids in Southern Madagascar, who are victim of drought through school canteen in preschool and primary school, also to support children to continue their study.
