Thank you for your continued support!

By Dr. Mariana Gil | Lead Program Facilitator

Thank you for being a generous supporter of healthcare professionals in Mexico! We are excited to update you about what your dollars have contributed to over this last quarter. In September, the AtentaMente team began training a new cohort of 114 healthcare professionals focused on building their inner resilience, strengthening their working teams, and combating empathy burnout. While nearly half of the participants are doctors, the course also includes nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, and nutritionists who are dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of others. Additionally, the training is being facilitated online, which allows the program to simultaneously reach professionals in states across the country, including Guanajuato, Queretaro, Campeche, Mexico City, Chiapas, Colima, Jalisco and San Luis Potosi.

As you have seen in our previous reports, we are committed to ensuring our programs achieve results. Preliminary partial results to date show that there have been positive changes in the well-being of the participants and reductions in their anxiety, depression, and stress. This cohort will wrap up in December of this year, and we look forward to sharing the final results in our next report, so stay tuned!

We would also love to share the impact our program has had with the words of our participants:

From Ángeles "With the techniques that I have learned in this course, I am more relaxed, I enjoy my work and my family more, I am more focused and with better results, and I no longer feel burnout as I did before."

From Jose "In this program I learned new things and great tools. I am committed to putting them into practice to be a better leader and person."

Once again thank you for your ongoing support of our work to bring wellbeing to healthcare professionals! We would greatly appreciate your keeping us in mind for #GivingTuesday coming up on Nov.29 and sharing our work with others who believe in the need to support healthcare professionals in Mexico with this link: https://www.globalgiving.org/projects/mentalhealthfor1000healtchareproviders/
