Progress Resort Aug 2023
By Krit Sharma | Project Leader
Dear supporters,
Even though, the COVID-19 has been slowed down in Nepal- economy is still severely affected. It will take years to recover. We have supported many families during the difficult situation by providing them food and other stuff to prevent from getting infected by the virus. Details of the work has been submitted in the previous progress report.
We also have few long term recovery plans for the most affected families in rural Nepal. But the project didn't attracted many donors for months by now so it doesn't worth keeping it active. If any one is interested to support our recovery project then please email us at krit.sharma@nvf.org.uk.
Finally thank you very much for everyone who donated to this project.

COVID-19 Project
Since the last progress report, we haven’t carried out any major project activity. because we don’t have any funds at the moment.
Some information from the Nepalese government website about the coronavirus- There have been 978,119 infections and 11,950 coronavirus-related deaths reported in Nepal since the pandemic began. Nepal has administrated at least 39,281,058 doses of COVID vaccines so far. Assuming every person needs two doses that is enough to have vaccinated about 68.7% of the country’s population. During the last week reported, Nepal averaged about 117,179 doses administered each day. At that rate, it will take a further 49 days to administer enough doses for another 10% of the population.

Since the last progress report, we haven’t carried out any major project activity. However, we have asked to few for a research funding and if we received it then this year we are planning to do a research on how the coronavirus pandemic impacted the villager and what can be done.
The last report- The new variant of coronavirus cases is also noticed in Nepal but its numbers are less than a hundred. We didn’t do any project activities relevant to this project in the last quarter because we don’t have any funds at the moment.
