Nurture 200 dreams, Give a child a chance

For many children in vulnerable communities across Eastern Uganda, the beginning of a new school term brings both excitement and uncertainty. While children are eager to return to their classrooms, poverty continues to prevent many from accessing the basic requirements needed to attend school with confidence and dignity. For some families, purchasing a school uniform, a pair of shoes, books, and other essential supplies is simply beyond their financial means.

Through the support of compassionate donors and partners, F SSIBU Mission Foundation – Uganda is working to change this reality by supporting vulnerable children with new school shoes, uniforms, scholastic materials, and other essential educational needs.

A new pair of shoes is more than something a child wears to school. A clean uniform is more than clothing. These basic items restore dignity, confidence, and a sense of belonging. When children arrive at school properly dressed and equipped, they are better able to participate alongside their peers without feeling excluded because of poverty.

In communities where families struggle to meet daily household needs, donor support can make a profound difference. It reduces the burden on parents and caregivers while helping children remain connected to education. Most importantly, it sends a powerful message to every child: your future matters, and your circumstances should not determine your opportunity to learn.

Our goal is to reach more children across Eastern Uganda who are at risk of missing school because they lack basic educational necessities. With increased support, we can provide more uniforms, shoes, books, school bags, and other essential supplies.

A child's return to school should be filled with anticipation and excitement—not anxiety about unpaid requirements or a lack of learning materials. Unfortunately, many vulnerable families face difficult choices at the beginning of every school term. Limited household income may make it impossible to meet school-related costs while also providing food and other household necessities.

Through our education support initiatives, F SSIBU Mission Foundation – Uganda is working to ensure that vulnerable children are given an opportunity to return to school and participate meaningfully in education.

With donor support, children can receive assistance toward essential educational requirements such as scholastic materials and other school necessities. These interventions may appear simple, but their impact is significant. A child with books, learning materials, and the basic requirements needed for school is better positioned to participate actively in lessons and develop confidence among peers.

The beginning of term is therefore more than a calendar event. It is an opportunity to restore hope and strengthen the foundation upon which children can build their futures.

Our work also recognizes that supporting education can have a wider impact on families and communities. When children stay in school, they gain knowledge and skills that can eventually contribute to improved livelihoods. Educated children are better positioned to make informed decisions, pursue employment or entrepreneurship opportunities, and contribute positively to their communities.
