Nurture 200 dreams, Give a child a chance

The beginning of a new school term brings excitement, renewed dreams, and a fresh opportunity for children to continue building their future. However, for vulnerable children from low-income families, returning to school can also be a time of uncertainty. School fees, uniforms, books, scholastic materials, meals, and other basic requirements can become barriers that prevent children from reporting to school on time.

Through the support of generous donors and partners, F SSIBU Mission Foundation – Uganda is helping vulnerable children begin the new school term with greater confidence and dignity. Our education support efforts are focused on ensuring that children are not left behind simply because their families cannot afford the basic necessities required for school attendance.

Donor support helps provide essential educational needs, including scholastic materials and other forms of assistance that enable children to return to their classrooms ready to learn. Beyond providing materials, this support restores hope. A child who enters school with the right resources is more likely to participate confidently, concentrate on lessons, and remain engaged throughout the term.

Every contribution becomes an investment in a child's future. It helps transform education from a distant dream into a realistic opportunity for children facing difficult circumstances.

F SSIBU Mission Foundation - Uganda organizes community health camps to provide accessible health screening services to vulnerable and underserved beneficiaries. The camps bring basic preventive healthcare closer to children, adolescents, women, elderly people, and families who may experience financial, geographical, or social barriers to accessing health facilities.

During each health camp, beneficiaries are registered and guided through basic health assessments. These may include checking blood pressure, temperature, weight, general physical wellbeing, and identifying signs and symptoms that may require further medical attention. Where resources and qualified health personnel are available, additional screening services are provided according to community needs and health priorities.

A key objective is early identification of health problems. Many community members delay seeking medical care because of cost, lack of information, distance, or fear. By taking screening services into the community, our health camps create an opportunity for people to understand their health status and receive appropriate guidance before conditions become more serious.

Beneficiaries identified with potential health concerns are counseled and referred to appropriate health facilities for comprehensive examination, treatment, or follow-up. We also encourage families to seek timely medical attention and discourage harmful practices such as self-medication and delaying treatment.

Beyond individual beneficiaries, health screening helps the Foundation understand common health concerns affecting the communities we serve. This information supports better planning of health education, referrals, and future community interventions.
