Receiving her computer
Dear donor,
We are happy to report that during the pandemic from 2020 to 2022, we handed out more than 5200 tablets, notebook and laptop computers to our scholarship students to be used for on-line formal and nonformal education programs.
In 2020 there was a shortage in the computer market due to the increased demand and we started by giving out tablets to our high school students. However, we started the 2021-2022 school year with early purchases and we distributed 2000 notebook computers to high school and 1000 laptop computers to our university scholarship students.
We hope to continue our support to the new students we will be giving scholarships during 2022-2023 school year.
We thank you for your invaluable support and look forward to your donations.
Kind regards,

NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
By Guldal Ebeoglu | CYDD Headquarters Project Division
Secondary school children from CYDD Sile branch
Dear donor,
Students returned to school but continue to attend the CYDD on-line education programs which were developed during the pandemic.
Secondary school students attend online classes twice a week and are introduced to modern sciences with the Project “Pebblestones of Science”. Some of these young students live in small towns and remote villages. We supply them with notebook computers and also give them internet support so that all the children in a household can make use of technology taking turns.
Girls in high school also attend another online course and get acquainted with 21st century skills. We give them notebook computers and internet support when needed. Senior high school students attend special online courses to prepare them for university exams.
University students are given on-line English language courses by CYDD volunteers and some continue their mentorship program on-line.
Your contribution to our computer Project pool is as important as always.
We are grateful for your support.

Every student must have access to technology
By Guldal Ebeoglu | CYDD Headquarters Project Division
Dear donor,
The new school year started with face-to-face education but during the past two years due to the pandemic, education was on-line and we too developed on-line programs for our students and supplied them with technology as much as we could.
In the recent years we had started giving scholarships to disadvantaged girls from 5th grade in secondary school so that we could support them earlier on with online educational programs. This means we now have a new population of younger students with no access to technology.
This year we developed our two pilot projects of last year to support more students. "Pebble Stones of Science" project is for online educational support of girls from 5th to 8th grade and "Young Starfish-21st Century Skills" is for high school girls from 9th to 12th grade.
We will be accepting 500 girls from secondary school and 750 girls from high school to both of these programs this year. We had supplied notebook computers or tablets to girls following these pilot programs last year. But this year the number of students have tripled and we have to give computer and internet support to the new comers.
One notebook computer cost about 225$ and your valuable support to our computer pool is much needed. Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
