The flood affected area of Village Roshan Kohli. Tehsil Matli, District Badin Sindh Pakistan submerged in flood water during floods 2011 and 100% houses damaged, crops burned and poor village communities lost their all, after settlement or returned villagers to back to their native houses, facing difficult situation over drinking water.  During initial visit by AHD staff and survey of village Roshan Kolhi was very upset to see that poor villagers drinking contaminated canal or flood water for their family.

AHD staff visited Roshan Kohli village and conducted the survey and identified problems. Through immediate action they arranged quick training for some 30 members of the village Roshan Kohli and distributed them with Nadi filter units. At present villagers using safe drinking Nadi filter units provided by the AHD through Global Giving support near Matli area and since Dec 2012 all villagers have to access to safe and clean drinking water. There are about 105 families using safe drinking Nadi filter water and saving lives of their family women and children. The village Roshan Kohli very happy and thankful to AHD & Global Giving donors.

AHD staff confident for the provision and distribution of Nadi filter units in more families for the provision of access to safe and clean drinking water and hope donors and supports of this project will once support again to donate for the flood victims in Pakistan and hope through you all support we will be happy to complete target of 10,000 families within the year 2013.
