Nzeyimana and Uwingeneye field report

By Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana | Project Leader

Dear Freinds,

RWAYDAVO interviewed two field workers for Planting 20,000 trees project.

Doing this interview ,  Rwandan Youth Development and Voluntary organization (RWAYDAVO) wanted to know  the progress and  how are the feelings of people  around the project area.

Questions: You have been working  with us for more than 4 months now, what do you think and what do you expect on this project apart from paying you for the work you do?

Nzeyimana:  This is not only the project, it is an initiative, to me i know RWAYDAVO for more than 5 years doing a good job at the community, one activity I can not forget is when you have been giving goats and building the toilets for the poor peoples. Also this planting trees project, It is good because, you will give trees to the people and also you will plant them, some of them  will give fruits that people will be able to buy locally at cheaper prices and also trees are good to protect the climate. People here consider you as people who always think about them and bring good things to support them, may God keep protecting you.

Uwingeneye:  Oh my God RWAYDAVO is great, they use to give me a job that support my family, I know them 6 years ago, when they started providing health education on hygiene water and sanitation and distributing soaps to the poor children. I remember they also supported adolescent moms who got unwanted pregnancies and this reduced sigma and descrimination within the community. what I can tell you about this planting trees project is that, it is a good project because trees are good for the climate and also many of them will give fluits and our community will benefit from  them because RWAYDAVO promissed to give some trees to the communinity.

The orginal message was in Kinyarwanda,  Project Leader has translated from Kinyarwanda to English.

Thank you very much for the support you offer to us, to support this project.

May God Bless You

Jean

RWAYDAVO President.
