Plant 40,000 Trees In Northern Rwanda

Rwanda Youth Development And Voluntary Organization
would like to express my deep gratitude for all the support
that you have provided so far for our tree planting project
hosted at GlobalGiving.  On behalf Rwandan Youth

We continue wish you a very happy 2022!

We are so glad to share that we are making very good progress

 in our fundraising, and we are happy to let you know that we

 have achieved our immediate milestone of raising USD$5000

for preparing the 5 lands for tree plantation. We would like to

let you know that after the planting trees by the end of January

we will be doing fencing to be able to protect our trees

from goats, cows, and children, and require additional
immediate support.  

I just wanted to take a minute to update you on the efforts
we are taking for getting prepared for preparing the fifth
land and how our volunteers are working towards that.
For preparing the Taba land, Colline Mwite village in
Rulindo district of Burega sector, Rwanda. This area’s
Google code is Rwanda:7299+2X5.

To prepare this land we will need 11 people well
trained to prepare the Taba Cell, Colline Mwite village
land from January second week, and this will take 10
to 15 days. Due to the urgency of the planting saplings
by the end of January 2022, we might increase the
number of workers.  We have also finished all
preparations related to the transport of organic fertilizer.
The transport will be done by people who will carry the
fertilizers using head as this land not near to the road.
To do this, we will get the help of 12 people who
will be working for 10 to 15 days. We may also
increase the number of workers depending on the
progress of the work. For planting trees, we will
involve primary school students and children
around the village.  The supervision will be done
by Field operation Manager together with
RWAYDAVO volunteers.

We wish and hope that through this project,
we will be able to make a significant impact
in the lives of the people in the community,
and instill the importance of trees in the minds
of the people so that they take care of them
on an ongoing basis.
