Student Spotlight: Baraka!

By Gideon Mawenye | Tanzanian Site Director

From our Tanzanian Team:

Baraka is a boy of 14 years old; he was born on 09th January 2008 at Karatu district in Arusha region. Baraka is very calm, focused and clever child, he’s currently studying at secondary education which he has started this year after performing his final exam with B - Grade. Baraka was placed at Amani after loosing his father back on October 10, 2012 who was the main person providing for him after suffering from stomach ulcers. His grandies were the person who took the responsibility of parenting him, with time and their age it was difficult to them to keep up with big responsibility of giving enough food, education and medical service, and later he was placed to Amani Children’s Home center. Baraka’s word: Baraka loves science, and he would like to become a doctor when he grows up. Providing the medicines for different disease is the motive behind his fond of science and he’s committed to discover new cure for diseases with no cure!
