The situation in Ethiopia is not that good and the tension is growing among people, both because Covid and economic problems linked to that. At the end of June we could not reach our local representative any longer and we were very worried because it was as if he could not even get our messages, both on the email and whatsapp. Finally we discoverd that there were some ugly clashes among different ethnic groups, following he murder of a singer of the Oromo ethnic group. Because of this, communications were completely cut off for days, in order to prevent the situation from escalating. Finally we got in contact with him and he reassured us that all the staff is fine. On the other hand, he told us that the pademic is spreading in Addis Ababa: contagions and deaths are increasing and people is more and more worried. Luckily none of our children has been affected yet.
