Malaria nets are simple and so very effective

Imagine falling sick from malaria 2 to 3 times a year! No one would want to be exposed to this life-threatening illness. Unfortunately, this is the lot and condition that thousands of children find themselves in.

The *good news* is that together we are helping to change this by providing insecticide-treated nets which have proven to be extremely effective in reducing exposure to mosquitoes and their bites. The nets provide excellent protection during the night, (when asleep - the most vulnerable time), creating an impenetrable shield.

Here is a brief profile of Omolaura - one of the children who has benefited from your donations: Omolaura attends the Methodist church primary school in the Wellington municipality of Freetown. The father died when she was six years old and since then her mother has struggled to take care of her and her two siblings. Her mother earns the equivalent of US $70 monthly, which is not enough to cover the family needs. They live in single bedroom block house with no running water and no electricity. They were delighted to receive a mosquito net and this is keeping Omolaura safe from bites and malaria. In the photos, you can see Omolaura with the mosquito net. Thanks for helping to provide this simple and effective protection.

Got suggestions on how we can extend our impact... please let us know. We would appreciate it so much if you could also invite your friends and family member to join us in providing these nets. With your on-going support, we can provide many more nets for other children - truly helping to preserve their lives. Thanks for your support.

Cordially and best wishes.
