Illuminating Slum Dweller's Lives.....

Still in many parts of the world, a significant portion of the slum and street-dwelling populations grapples with the daily challenges posed by the absence of adequate lighting. The pervasive lack of access to electricity in these communities creates an array of difficulties, ranging from compromised safety to hindrances in carrying out basic daily activities. The absence of proper lighting not only exacerbates the living conditions but also poses serious risks to the well-being of individuals, especially during the dark hours. Families living in these conditions find themselves navigating through darkness, impacting their overall quality of life.
To address the pressing challenges faced by the slum and street-dwelling populations in Rajasthan due to the absence of adequate lighting, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized the "Light In The Darkness" program. This program brought a sustainable and reliable light sources to a slum family, alleviating the significant challenges posed by the lack of electricity by providing them with a solar light solution. The introduction of solar lights serves as an innovative and sustainable solution to the pervasive issue of inadequate lighting. Solar lights are not only cost-effective but also environmentally friendly, offering a reliable source of illumination even in areas without access to conventional electricity.
The "Light In The Darkness" program implemented by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has yielded a transformative impact on the lives of a slum family. By providing a solar light solution, the program has directly addressed the daily struggles faced by those living without access to electricity in Rajasthan's marginalized communities. The impact of introducing solar lights goes beyond mere illumination; it signifies a positive shift in the family's quality of life. The reliable lighting enhances safety during the dark hours, allowing for increased visibility and reduced vulnerability to accidents or incidents. By bringing light to the darkness, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has not only improved the immediate living conditions of the chosen family but has also set a precedent for scalable initiatives that can positively impact the broader slum and street-dwelling populations.

Nutrition Drive for Slum Children !!

In slum and street environments, families often face challenges related to nutrition and healthy dietary practices. Limited access to resources and knowledge about nutritious food can lead to inadequacies in the diets of both children and their mothers. This nutritional gap can have adverse effects on the health and well-being of individuals, particularly children who are in critical stages of growth and development. The lack of awareness about balanced diets and proper nutrition exacerbates the issue.
To address the nutritional challenges faced by slum and street families, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan initiated the Healthy Diet Drive, Nutrition Food & Cooking Classes Program. This comprehensive initiative targeted 400 children from 12 different slums and streets along with their mothers. The program focused on both providing nutritious food items and imparting knowledge about healthy dietary practices. As part of the program, 5 kg each of essential food items like soya bean, dalia, kala chana, moong dal, rajma, and others were distributed to the families. The distribution was complemented by cooking classes where mothers were taught how to prepare nutritious meals using these ingredients. The use of card sheets and flipcharts facilitated interactive learning, illustrating the importance of a balanced diet for the overall well-being of the family.
The Healthy Diet Drive, Nutrition Food & Cooking Classes Program by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has had a profound impact on the lives of 400 slum and street children and their mothers across 12 locations. The distribution of essential food items, coupled with cooking classes, addressed the immediate need for nutritious meals and empowered mothers with the knowledge to sustain healthier dietary practices. The program not only provided tangible resources but also facilitated an educational component that will have a lasting impact on the families. Mothers learned how to prepare nutritious meals using the provided food items, enhancing their ability to provide healthier options for their children. Feedback from the children and their mothers reflected gratitude for the program, emphasizing the value of both the provided food items and the educational sessions.

Team RSKS India Feeling proud with unforgettable moments, got a golden opportunity to represent the field of development sector under the leadership of the CEO of RSKS India at United Nations during the HRC 55th session.
RSKS India successfully organized the Side Event on "Harmony in Diversity" at the United Nations Office in Geneva, Switzerland, shows the positive impact of RSKS India's efforts in promoting inclusivity and diversity. By bringing together leaders from the social sector, diplomats, and mission observers from diverse backgrounds, RSKS India facilitated meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas on how to address the challenges of diversity and create harmony.
The event not only showcased RSKS India's commitment to social welfare but also garnered appreciation for its impactful work on a global stage. The recognition and support received by RSKS India from colleagues, partners, and supporters further validate the significance of its contributions in the field of development. Overall, RSKS India's representation at the United Nations HRC 55th Session serves as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for positive change in the pursuit of a more just and equitable world.
The event was attended by over fifty leaders from the social sector, diplomats, and mission observers from around different countries. RSKS India was appreciated by participants for the remarkable social welfare work we are engaged in.
