Helping Deserving Kids Complete Their Education

Roland

Hello Project Supporters

Meet Roland...

Roland is the 3rd child of a family of 4 children. Roland loves to learn and to go to school. He makes good grades and shows leadership potential.  His mother is a petty trader and his father works on-board a ship - with a very low income. The parents' income is not adequate to support their children, especially in the area of education. This means that sometime the provision of essentials like school uniforms and school supplies are not provided in a timely fashion.   These delays have been detrimental to Roland's progress - where he has not promptly had all the supplies needed.

No child should ever have to deal with that - not being able to have all the supplies / resources needed.

Thanks to YOUR Support, in the first week in March, we provided a scholarship for Roland.  Because of your involvement, he and his parents do not need to be concerned about having all Roland needs as school reopens mid-April.

It's exciting to be able to help ensure that deserving kids stay in school.  Education is indeed a stepping stone to a better future.  Thank YOU so much for helping to make this a reality!

Going forward, we have decided to deactivate this project as it overlaps with another project - Educate the Next Generation of Leaders. Phasing out this project will help us better focus providing you with updates on the other project.  Thanks so much for your on-going assistance.

We welcome your interest in providing future scholarships here.  Be sure to go to this project and sign up for updates.  Feel free to also email your questions to us at any time.

Best wishes

The Develop Africa Team
